The International Day of the Tourist Guide is an initiative of the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA, its acronym in English). This date was celebrated for the first time in 1990 and fifteen countries participated in it, now this celebration has been extended to more than 90 countries in the world.
This day highlights the work of these tourism professionals who fulfill the important mission of transmitting world history and culture and guide visitors in tourist places such as archaeological sites and natural sites. The tour guides offer guided tours to children, adults, disabled people, officials and the general public.
During this special date, various countries organize events such as presentations and courses where they present the current situation of their profession, also guided tours are made to the main tourist spots of the cities, regions and countries where they perform their duties, which ANDEAN EXPLORER’S CUSCO E.I.R.L. pays homage to all Official Guides.
“Tourism is a future industry that is not afraid of changes”.
